This year we are bringing the focus back to your neighborhoods and fighting crime on a block by block level. The Wauwatosa Police Department is encouraging as many neighborhoods as possible to have their annual block parties during the weekend of July 30th and 31st. Our Police Department will be out in full force to attend every block party in the city that weekend!! Plan ahead and get your block party on our list. We’ll bring the squads and motorcycles. This is your chance to have one on one conversations with the officers that work your neighborhood every day.
On Monday, August 1st, from 6-8pm the Police Department, in coordination with our many neighborhood associations will host “Night Out in your Neighborhood” parties throughout the City. There will be four parties throughout the city that night. Come meet the Police Officers that work your neighborhoods, see squad cars, motorcycles, McGruff, fire trucks, children’s games provided by the YMCA, hot dogs, chips and soda for sale by the Wauwatosa wrestlers, and other giveaways! Stop by to say hello to our officers or ask about crime prevention in your neighborhood.
The 22nd annual Tosa’s Night Out event is Wednesday, August 3 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in a new location, the Milwaukee County Zoo. The Wauwatosa Police Department is celebrating its 100th anniversary and that’s depicted in the t-shirt design for this year’s Tosa Night Out.
All attendees of Tosa’s Night Out MUST pre-register for this event. There will be NO day of event registration. Registration includes Zoo admission, parking, safety displays, t-shirts and many of the zoo’s most popular attractions. Family registration fee is $12 for the first family member, $8, $3 and $2 for next 3 family members. The fifth and sixth family members are free!
